VIRTUE FOR THIS WEEK   We continue, for one more week, focusing on GENEROSITY.  Generosity is the deliberate giving of oneself in a willing and cheerful manner for the good of others. It doesn’t always involve money or tangible gifts. In fact, the most meaningful ways to demonstrate  generosity come from acts of the soul.

YOU GO GIRLS! Registration for Girls on the Run participants is open for girls in grades 3,4, and 5 through Wednesday, January 10, and can be found at online at In order for IHM to participate in the program this Spring, the team will need at least 8 girls, and still needs a lead coach and one or two assistant coaches. No running experience, nor any prior coaching experience, is necessary. We just need adults to supervise an established program!  If you are able to share your time as a coach, please contact Sarah Huffman immediately at The Girls on the Run program  inspire girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running.

CATHOLIC SCHOOLS WEEK TEACHER APPRECIATION LUNCHEON.… The good moms of our Home and School Association treat the IHM staff to lunch every Catholic Schools week. They are looking for volunteers. On behalf of the chairperson for this hospitality event, thank you from Mrs. Jocelyn Bunce !

SPEAKING OF CATHOLIC SCHOOLS WEEK Mrs. Perry (8th grade teacher)  is offering  the chance for two students to cut her pony tail during 1/2 time of the pep rally on Feb 2. Every year she donates that ponytail  to Wigs for Kids .    $1 per ticket. “Tickets” coming home this week and more will be available in the office! (hint: It would mean even more if your kids used their own money to buy chances. Generosity being our virtue and all) Proceeds go towards IHM’s Angel Fund, a financial source of help for families facing an unexpected crisis or dramatic change in income.
