Testimony about this amazing conference...

"This was the best experience of my entire fourteen years of life. I ABSLOUTELY LOVED THE PRAISE AND WORSHIP!!! (You take that away and I will freak!) I also really enjoyed the chastity talks. I just think it really builds up self-esteem and gives you courage to cherish yourself especially under pressure. I always used to get bored during Mass, I even fell asleep sometimes, but now I just can't wait till Sunday and I attend adoration every Wednesday. It's just so unbelievable how one weekend changed me so much."

HIGH SCHOOL YOUTH MINISTRY

LIFE NIGHT is 7:30-9 p.m. Sundays in the deMazenod Room. Nights includes prayer, talks, discussion, social time, praise and worship, and variety of other activities from week to week.

TEEN TIMELINE is for 8-12th graders who want to go deeper with Scripture. This 5-week meeting is a teen-oriented program based on the adult series Great Adventure Bible Timeline by Jeff Cavins. A summer session is offered to cover all eight segments. Youth meet 6:30-7:30 p.m. in the All-Purpose Room (church basement) for the study.

FREEDOM TEAM is for 10-12th graders and young adults who want to serve middle school youth as peer ministers. This team helps plan and lead monthly Junior High Nights and middle school retreats. The team shares testimonies, leads small groups, performs skits and dramas, and builds relationships with 6-8th grade youth. As leaders, Freedom Team members must have an active faith, consistent prayer life, attend Mass every Sunday, frequent Reconciliation, and live a Catholic life committed to moral choices guided by faith. Those interested in being a member of the team, should contact Chris at 241-4477 Ext. 101.

IMPACT TEAM is open to all 11-12th grade students who want to actively work as leaders and mentors for their peers. The Impact Team meets bi-monthly to help plan one Life Night per month. All Impact Team members are expected to regularly attend Life Nights to act as examples and leaders during the night. The team "takes over" once a month, while the Core Team acts in a supporting role.

A schedule of events is issued each fall. Our Web site calendar also reflects all youth events at the parish.

Additionally, Chris is busy meeting with youth in their own setting. You can see him at Catholic Central High School every Wednesday morning for Morning Prayer & Muffins. Look for Chris at sporting events and other extracurricular activities. Contact him any time to meet with you and a group of your friends.
