Dear IHM Families,

We have two wonderful members of the IHM Family retiring at the end of this school year. We are sad to see them go but excited for the adventures that God has planned for them.
Mrs. Lori Brecken has been working for Immaculate Heart of Mary for 29 years.  She is looking forward to spending hoards of time with her “adopted” four grandchildren, ages newborn to 6, and also to doing many projects around the house and yard (She’s a bit of a “handy-man”), and of course, finally reading the stacks and stacks of books next to her nightstand! She also loves to cook and can now indulge in a little more time and experimentation with it.
Mrs. Margaret DeVito has been working for the Diocese of Grand Rapids for 25 years with 8 years at Immaculate Heart of Mary.  She is excited to have the opportunity to spend more time with her grandchildren and family.

We are incredibly thankful that Christ has given us the wonderful opportunity to include these two women in our IHM family.  Both have made IHM a better place and shown God’s love in all that they do.  I encourage all of the IHM family to stop by and wish both Margaret and Lori the best and thank them for their passion for Christ and for kids.

In Christ,
Michael Thomasma, Ed.S.
Principal
Immaculate Heart of Mary

AUCTION 2017   Yesssssss!  Planning is already underway! Auction Volunteers Needed! We are looking for volunteers that would be willing to offer their talents in helping to solicit donations throughout the summer for the 2017 IHM school auction. We have a set list of businesses who have been pre-screened as potential donors. Your role would be to send a letter, make a phone call, or stop by to visit the local store manager and give a scripted request for donations. Additionally, we are looking for 3-4 people to handle “check-out”  the night of the event. If you are willing to help with either of these jobs  — or would like to help with the auction, but feel your talents could be utilized better elsewhere, please contact Maureen Jeakle (616.706.2257) or Carey Neilson (616.916.8046) at ihmschoolauction@gmail.com. Thank you for your consideration!
