Religious Education for Children

Faith Formation

Catechesis is about transformation of the heart toward the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Our children, and our entire parish family, should be taught the essentials of the faith while living this daily in family life. Our goal is formation of our entire parish in their faith and the sacramental life of the Church. According to the Catechism of the Catholic Church: “Quite early on, the name catechesis was given to the totality of the Church’s efforts to make disciples, to help men believe that Jesus is the Son of God so that believing they might have life in his name…”

Religious Education for Children

Our program supports parents in their responsibility of forming disciples for the Lord and His Church. With weekly Sunday Mass, weekly CCD and daily family prayer, our children will grow strong in faith and courageous in Christian action. Religious school for elementary students (grades 1-5)  and middle school students (grade 6-8) is on Sundays from 9:30-10:45 a.m. during the academic year. Confirmation prep for non-Catholic school students (any age 8th grade or highter) is during this time as well.  Adults who love Christ and his Church are encouraged to ask about being a catechist to the children in the parish.
